Sale of the production unit of a company in insolvency proceedings

Context:

A company entered into insolvency proceedings with a view to its closure and we were asked to prepare the financial information to be presented in the insolvency proceedings. An analysis of the company’s situation revealed the existence of a line of business that could be profitable, and we proposed the sale of this line of business.

The economic situation of the company and its business lines were analyzed.
A line of business that could be profitable was identified.
A carve-out of the business line was carried out to obtain the history of its income and expenses.
A business plan was drawn up for the activity.
An MBO was drawn up with the head of the business line and presented to the bankruptcy court.

The sale of the production unit was approved and jobs were preserved.
